Michigan Jiu-Jitsu Championship was started to provide another venue for jiu-jitsu (and grappling, judo, submission wrestling, etc.) practitioners to display their skills in a competitive and fun environment. The championship is open to all jiu-jitsu practitioners everywhere, not just those from Michigan.

Only one championship will be held in a year. To satisfy different jiu-jitsu practitioners, there will be GI and NO-GI divisions on the same day.
